Today's pic is compliments of Parker and Zach's recon mission to the foothills. With the day light hours waning and only an itouch as a camera they caught this picture of deer. They had a great time getting the picture so it was worth using as today's pic.

We had the Young's and Sulz's over for dinner and games. We figured it could have been close to 6 years since last we had the kids together. In the picture from back to front. Cassidy, Madison, Kadrie, Jake, Zach, Parker, Katie, Kenzie, Isabelle, and Taylor. Everyone seemed to get a long just fine. For the older girls it took a little adjusting before they really started to enjoy the evening. The boys and little had fun from the start.

Day 27
Who likes cake? Anna is enjoying a cake bite, I may need to wash my sweater. She thought this was great, even more fun for anna is washing her hands. All she wanted to do was splash in the water.

Day 26
Early mornings are for the birds. This is looking towards the number 11 fairway at Sleepy Ridge at 7:20 am. I am doing a walkthrough with clients on a new home. Makes for a long day getting up this early.

Day 24
Pack meeting for Parker. Today he did not get any awards but we was one of the flag bearing scouts.
Monday, January 23, 2012
Braces 2.0 well not exactly new braces but elastic additions to Kadrie's braces. After being excited for the next step she soon realized the little bit of pull they have really starts to cause some real discomfort. But she will have straight teeth.

Day 22
Snow in January.... who would have thought such a thing was possible. This is the first snow fall of the new year. Just barely enough to cover the grass and it is melting already. The kids were excited to go play in the snow but came back inside disappointed.

Day 21
Russell had his ear surgery yesterday, Izzy has to have the same procedure fix the hole left by her tubes. She is sporting a sympathy ear bandage.

Day 19
Grizzlies hockey game with the kids. This is Izzys first game. The kuds are really more interested in the treats than the game.

Day 18
Holy radio isotope Batman. Today Rachael is having a "HIDA" scan done. She has been having with, what we hope is her gall blabber. This big machine and this 2 hour test shoild tell us if that is the problem. She is feeling a little clostraphobic, but at least she gets to lay down.
Izzy playing ant smasher on Rachael's phone. When I grew up the atari 2600 was not only the big thing it was the only thing and we didn't even have one I had to walk down to my friends Mark Kurtz to play. Now my kids can get games on almost any phone.

Basket Ball Time- Parker is playing basketball again this year and is doing much better. He scored a driving layup in game one and had a hand full of great assists. He does a good job looking for the open man. Trevor his cousin is on his team this year and friends from the ward so it has been a much better experience for him. It is fun to see him having fun.

Day 13
Anna loves to sit at the top of the stairs and throw Ramen Noodle packages down. She throws them and Izzy brings them back up and she giggles and giggles.
Day 12
Typical day... work all day... come home to an exellent dinner... help put kids to bed. I am reading Fablehaven to Parker. Go play church ball til 11 then come home and try to sleep. Took this picture of what sleep looks like.
Kadrie went to young womens tonight and made cool bubble gum necklaces. Quite a fun idea. The crazy thing to me is that my daugher is in young womens. It seems like just yesterday she was out running with the kids playing any game they could make up and now she "hangs out" with friends. I am really proud of her she has grown up a lot over the last year and made good decisions. Today pic is of Zoey, she crashes each night with Parker.

Day 10
What is all the Buzz about. This is our hamster Buzz. Well actually Parker's hamster. He loves to run on his not so quite hamster wheel at all hours of the night. He is really cute but he loves to bite so we have to pick him up with a pair of my work gloves. I helped out in Parker's class today and his classmates thought it was amazing that I could do such a large long division problem. I thought it was amazing that anything gets taught with so many kids in one class. Ms. J does an amazing job.

An unsuspecting Parker doing home work. Rachael told him that if he got his homework done and his extra reading done online he could come watch me play ward basketball. Yeah what a treat for him.

Tonight we fed the missionaries, Shane forgot that he needed to arrange for a dinner in the Ward so we ended up having them for pizza. One elder was from South Carolina and the other was from Alaska. Parker is a helper during school lunch and he thinks it is amazing. He gets to go early and eat before all the other kids. He is so excited because he gets a free lunch, the funny thing is he does not like school lunch so we still send him a lunch. Steph and Anna came over to visit, Anna is getting pretty good a walking almost to fast for this picture.

Day 3
Just another golf day in January, High of 53, it was t-shirt weather today. Shot ok did clean house on the par 3's with a birdie on 8 followed up with a par on 9 after going into the creek off the tee box. So far very mild winter this year.

We were having fun feeding Spike cockroaches,..... yes baby bearded dragons eat cockroaches. The roaches are not actually as bad as you may think. They are fairly small and kind of look like reddish potato bugs. The best part about the roaches is they do not make any noise, the alternative food source, crickets, have to be kept in the garage because their 'chirping' is not very soothing at 2:00 am. So far we have enjoyed Spike as a new addition to the family. He inherits the habitat of Puff and since we all like watching him attack his food he gets plenty of attention.
